Ministry Update November 2026

A Hole-in-One Kind of Day!

Dear Friends,

We’ve experienced a lot of exciting moments at Dare for More over the years, but our very first Chattanooga golf tournament gave us a moment we won’t soon forget!

It was a wonderful day filled with golf, laughter, friendship, and a whole lot of fun. We had a great group of golfers, sponsors, and volunteers come together to support the work of Dare for More. And while we were excited about hosting our first tournament, none of us could have predicted the excitement waiting for us on the course.

One of our golfers, a young college student who plays on the golf team at Dalton State, stepped up to the hole-in-one challenge and did something he had never done before. He hit a hole-in-one and WON A CAR!

You can imagine the excitement! His buddies grabbed him, everyone went crazy, and the celebration was unforgettable. Thanks to Integrity GMC/Cadillac, who sponsored the hole-in-one prize, this young man walked away with much more than a great golf memory!

But there was something else about his story that made the day especially meaningful to me.

He shared that when he signed up to play, he didn’t really know much about Dare for More or what the tournament was supporting. Once he learned about our mission and the work we’re doing to help women and children affected by human trafficking and exploitation, he was genuinely excited to be part of it. He told me how much it meant to him to be involved in mission work and making a difference.

I loved hearing that.

One of the greatest opportunities we have as a ministry is introducing new people to the needs of women and children and inviting them to become part of the solution. Sometimes that happens in a church service, sometimes through a mission trip, and sometimes it happens on a golf course!

There was another special connection to Guatemala that day. The women in our DFM workshop made beautiful leather golf pouches for the golfers’ gift bags. I loved knowing that the very women whose lives are being impacted through our training and employment programs had a hand in making this event special.

And I can’t share about this day without recognizing three men who truly made it possible. Lance, Allen, and Brian had a passion and a burden to bring this tournament to life. They caught the vision, invested their time and energy, and worked to make it happen. I’m so grateful for their hearts for this ministry and their willingness to turn an idea into a wonderful event.

As I look back on the day, I’m grateful for every golfer, sponsor, and volunteer who helped make our first tournament possible. It was a reminder that there are so many different ways to come alongside this ministry. Sometimes making a difference looks like giving, praying, serving, or going. And sometimes it looks like spending a day on the golf course with friends.

We had a lot of fun, made new friends, introduced more people to the mission, and celebrated a hole-in-one that none of us will soon forget.

And the good news? We’re already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Thank you for continuing to be part of the Dare for More story. I’m grateful for every opportunity God gives us to bring more people into the work He is doing.

With gratitude,
