Why This Trip is Different.

This isn’t your typical mission trip.
It’s a deeply personal, hands-on experience where you’ll sit with women who’ve faced unimaginable pain, hear their stories, and walk alongside them in their journey toward healing.

You’ll serve through practical projects, meaningful conversations, and compassionate presence—being the hands and feet of Jesus in a place where love and hope are desperately needed.

Each day is shaped by connection, service, and the opportunity to see God at work in powerful ways through real relationships.

Step into a story of hope, healing, and transformation.

What You'll Do

  • Visit and serve at the Dare for More Safe House, where women and children find refuge and begin to heal.

  • Volunteer in local Guatemalan villages with outreach and relational ministry.

  • Spend time at our Women’s Training Centers and see how rescue turns into restoration through baking, sewing, and life skills.

  • Participate in community-focused projects at our Medical Center and in surrounding areas—helping bring healing to families in need.

What to expect

  • You will have a unique opportunity to come alongside women who have been hurt and abused and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

  • You will spend time listening to stories, learning of needs, empathizing with struggles, and doing your best to minister to those in crisis.

  • You will leave having learned a little about the plight of women around the world and carrying a new burden to dedicate yourself to pray as never before for the millions who do not know that Jesus is the hope for their brokenness.

  • Work projects are determined by the needs of our safe house or the needs in the communities where we serve, and may not be predictable in a given week. Team leaders work closely with in-country, national leadership to determine the project’s most important to meet the family’s needs. Projects will vary in terms of demand and skill level, and will be assigned to teams based on their abilities. There is something for everyone.

  • Absolutely! We intentionally include opportunities for teams to connect with the families in our safe house, especially the children. Playtime is a significant part of what our teams do as we serve the house.

  • To ensure safety and for your convenience, we always travel by chartered buses or vans/staff vehicles.

  • Dare for More is a ministry centered on relationships by serving those in crisis due to poverty, abuse, and human trafficking. We desire and pray that each woman and family we serve comes to know Jesus as their personal Savior. As we focus on serving and building lasting relationships, we use this as a platform to share God’s love and His desire for us to know and be known by Him. We do not withhold services from any person based on religion. We serve all families alike, regardless of their faith or creed, and do not require any child to adhere to the Christian faith to receive our services.
