Ministry Update - December 2025
As I have returned from Guatemala with the last team for the year, my heart is filled with deep gratitude for the privilege of traveling back and forth to Guatemala. Each trip is a reminder of the incredible ways God is moving among the women and children we serve. What a gift it is to witness His faithfulness up close—again and again.
In every conversation, every home visit, every step inside our safe spaces, I see evidence of God working on behalf of vulnerable families. I see hope taking root where fear once lived, strength rising where there was exhaustion, and joy returning in places long marked by sorrow. These are not small things. They are miracles—quiet and powerful—and I am humbled to be even a small part of His work.
Small things keep standing out to us—reminders that God is present in every detail. I want to share one of those moments. A woman we’ll call Maria, and her young child, recently transitioned out of our safe house. Our team had been preparing her for the many “firsts” ahead of her: navigating independence, making decisions on her own, and even learning to use a cell phone for the very first time.
When it came time for her to pack her limited belongings, the first thing she placed in her suitcase was her Bible. She held it gently and told us how grateful she was to finally own a Bible—and to be able to read it. Then she asked if she could take the first blanket she received when she arrived at our home. She said, “After being cold for so many years, it was the first time I can remember being warm. I would like to take this, please?”
Something so many of us take for granted, being able to read and own a Bible and a blanket, is the “small thing” that made all the difference in Maria. It was such a simple request, yet such a profound reminder of what safety, dignity, and love can restore.
Thank you for partnering with us in this mission. Your prayers, encouragement, and support make it possible for us to show up month after month, offering rescue, restoration, and the message of freedom through Christ. Together, we are watching God rewrite futures and transform entire communities.
Please continue to pray for the women and children in our programs and for God’s wisdom as we walk alongside each precious life. We are expectant for all He will continue to do.
Until they’ve all been reached,
Lisa
